Main Objective:   To write a chapter on Bangladesh country experiences highlighting climate change studies carried out earlier.
Brief Description: The NCCSAP produced a book based on studies carried out earlier in eleven countries using the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) methodology. The book presents country experiences along with cross country sector synthesis of the effects of Accelerated Sea Level Rise (ASLR) on the coastal zones. The study was conducted in accordance with the approaches and definitions of IPCC. IPCC views vulnerability not only depends on the dimension of impacts on the natural and human systems, but as well on the capability of the society as a whole to cope with these impacts in a social, economic, technical, and administrative sense and to develop and implement response strategies. The combination of these impacts and the feasibility to implement response strategies composes the vulnerability profile.
Output Three CDM projects were developed in Bangladesh and a CDM Toolkit was prepared and shared with the concerned authorities. The project has successfully raised awareness of the public and private sector on CDM related issues both nationally and internationally.
